Below Left: A
side chair works with the homeowner's collection of stoneware jugs and offers a
classic, traditional touch (plus comfortable seating) to a den.
Below Centert: A tall multi-level shelf
in a walnut finish with painted accents on the drawer front and shelves was the right piece to hold
a few of the homeowner's treasured photos and collectible pottery. A tall buffet lamp from Artifacts
is the perfect topper.
Below Right: The other lamp from this pair is used across the room on a
rotating accent table. The shelves on each of the four sides of the table hold more
collectible glass and pottery pieces.

Above: A grand entry in a new home is the fitting spot for this impressive black credenza
modeled on an antique piece. A tray, lamp, and mirror from Artifacts join a beautiful
arrangement from Created Designs by Tammy Hellums to complete the decor.
Below Left: A sofa or console table with the twist of an extra level is the perfect
piece to house this homeowner's decor pieces. Below Right: A lovely marble-top
wine cabinet is accented with a pop of color from the ceramic drip lamp and matching
ceramic decorator balls.

Above: This dramatic ceramic bowl in stand is across the room from the lamp &
cabinet pictured above. Using pops of the same color in different places in your room is an
excellent way to coordinate your decor. The homeowner found these candlesticks at
a store in Jackson and they also work well with her pieces from Artifacts. Below:
A small scale credenza in a painted finish can be the perfect accent piece to mix with more
traditional wood furniture pieces and works well with neutral color schemes. The color
in the piece can also be picked up in accessories as this homeowner has done with the
choice of shades on the candlesticks and the beautiful glass bowl.

Those of you who participated in the recent email/newsletter contest will remember
the lucky winner (number 36 - Nancy B.), well, this is what she used her
gift certificate on -- a new metal wall accent piece. She has chosen to use it
in a unique spot -- over her newly tiled backsplash & wall in her kitchen. She tells me
she liked it so much, she changed out a pendant light fixture that would have been
in the way of this pretty piece! Way to go, Nancy - it looks great!

Thanks to Rita & Byron for inviting us into their home to photograph the accent pieces from Artifacts
they received as housewarming presents from family & friends!
Above left: A large-scale
piece like this armoire/bookshelf is accented beautifully with a similarly large-scale accent piece.
This is an up-close view of the metal tray, and it can be seen on the right as well. Floral displays
throughout the house are from Created Designs.
Above right: This large metal wall piece gives
dimension and color to a dining room wall. The large glas buffet bowl in metal stand makes an
equally dramatic statement.
Below: Too pretty to leave flat, this colorful metal tray was put
on an easel and turned into an art piece in the kitchen.

Above left: What seems like a simple addition of a vase may be what it takes to pull together the decor
in a bathroom. The coordinating vase was used in another bathroom (sorry, that photo didn't turn out!).

Above right
: The homeowners purchased this set of lamps from us (at a bargain price without shades!) and
with the addition of sleek shades turned them into one of the living room's most distinctive style statements.
Below: This set of planters in three different sizes were filled with floral displays and used throughout the
home for a real pop. They tied together colors and helped the decorating scheme to flow. The tray in the
middle shelf (picture on the far right below) was also a selection from Artifacts. This was actually one
of
Byron's selections and will be used to deposit his wallet, wristwatch, change, etc. We thought that
was a very good idea, and will at least
consider leting men do more selecting in the future! :)

Below left: These candle sconces are a beautiful touch in the dining room. The candles could be changed out
seasonally to coordinate with table linens.
Below right: A mantle clock is not just for a mantle, as this one
on top of an entertainment credenza shows. If you'll look carefully, you'll see even Sponge Bob agrees that
a piece from Artifacts can always make you smile!
